The Edmonton Short Film Festival with the support of TELUS Optik Local and STORYHIVE are pleased to announce Roger Sherman will lead our 2016 interactive, hands on workshop!

Roger Sherman is a producer, director, cinematographer, still photographer and the author of Ready, Steady Shoot- A Pro’s Guide to Smart Phone Video.

Smartphone film festivals are one of the latest “crazes”. This interactive workshop will give emerging and mid-career Alberta Indie filmmakers the opportunity to learn how to create quality projects using various mobile devices and will focus on the use of storytelling through the digital medium. Immediately following the Master Class, the Edmonton Short Film Festival’s Free 48 Hour Mobile Film Challenge begins.

The Filmmakers’ Master Class is a bonus offered to filmmakers who submit their projects to the festival and limited tickets are available to the general public.

This half-day event will include an interactive, hands on workshop with Mr. Sherman, networking, a meal and more.

This event was held on September 17, 2016 – doors opened at 10:00 AM (brunch was served at 10:30) and wrapped up with a time of networking until 2:00 PM. Registrations are closed.

Location: El Cortez, 8230 Gateway Blvd
