The Edmonton Short Film Festival will be held in the beautiful, historic Garneau Theatre (8712 109 Street, Edmonton). Come and experience the best of Alberta Independent Short Film at the 2019 Edmonton Short Film Festival Red Carpet Gala on October 19. ARRIVE EARLY to experience 360° films using high-tech virtual reality headsets. Doors open at 5 PM; main screenings begin 7 PM.

Hang out with us at the Red Carpet Gala including paparazzi, complimentary hors d’ouevres from Mercer’s Catering, live music, silent auction (cash or cheque) and a cash bar featuring craft beer and a selection of wines. Advance tickets (available until October 15) are $21 USD for the gala; $12 USD for the ESFF Long Shorts; or $30 USD for a Festival Pass (through Film Freeway). Tickets (if available) at the door will be $35 CAD for the gala; $15 CAD for the ESFF Long Shorts (passes are only available for advance purchase). CASH ONLY.

Adam Scorgie is an Edmonton based producer and actor,whose latest film is Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo (2019),

NEW THIS YEAR, THE LONG SHORTS PROGRAM! We have invited filmmakers from Alberta and around the world to send us their work and are screening longer-format short films (up to 60 minutes). These films will be shown on Sunday afternoon, October 20; doors open at 1:30 PM; screenings begin at 2:00 PM. The Sunday program will also include a Conversation with Adam Scorgie, an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Alberta [credits include Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo (2019), Making Coco: The Grant Fuhr Story (2018) and Ice Guardians (2016)].
