What is the ESFF 48 Hour Mobile Device Film Challenge?
It’s a filmmaking challenge that will test your creativity, spontaneity, and mobile filming skills.
You’ll be given just 48 hours to create a short film (max 2 minutes) with footage shot using only a smartphone or tablet. Editing may be done using any device (computers allowed).
Your film must be fully completed and uploaded to YouTube and submitted to us at the 48-hour deadline. You’ll then have the following week to promote your film online.
The twist?
The evening when the 48-hour window of production begins, you’ll receive an email informing you of 3 secret elements that must be included in your film.
The Cost?
It is FREE to participate!
When is the challenge taking place?
This year, your official 48-hour filmmaking period will be from 6pm on July 23 to 6pm on July 25. You’ll receive notification of the secret elements at 6pm on July 23 and spend the next 2 days crafting your masterpiece.
Once all films have been submitted and judged, all completed films will be showcased at the ESFF Film Expo on August 1, 2021.
