Wow! The Edmonton Short Film Festival in 2015 exceeded our wildest expectations. On the evening of September 26th, there were 20 short films screened at the Royal Alberta Museum Theatre with close to 400 film lovers and 18 filmmakers in attendance. The crowd was surrounded by spectacular food created by Elizabethan Caterers, live music by Nick Samoil, red carpet photo opportunities and popcorn by the bags for anyone who wanted it. The bar was miles deep and it was a crazy, fun, festive atmosphere to enjoy the best of Alberta independent film.

We could not have pulled this together without a LOT of help. A very special thank you to our volunteers, staff, sponsors, vendors, adjudicators, the audience and of course all the filmmakers whose work made this possible. It was a privilege to share some of the best of Western Canada’s indie film scene.
To help celebrate the Edmonton Short Film Festival in 2015, the festival organizers put together a short video that gives a taste of the magic that permeated the event. Enjoy!
