The inaugural ESFF Family Fun Film Fest is premiering on October 2, 2016 and is the recipient of the Alberta Culture Days Pop Up Celebration Funding which enables the event to be free for all families.  The Family Fun Fest was created specifically for families to experience entertaining General and PG rated Alberta Independent Film.

Complimentary admittance includes popcorn, fun activities for children 2 to 12+ (Create your own Micro Short Video, Face Painting, Virtual Reality Demonstrations and more).  All families that pre-register will be entered into a draw for special prizes.

The ESFF also runs on October 1, 2016. The non-profit Festival’s mandate is to support and elevate Alberta independent filmmakers.  The October 1 event features the Red Carpet Gala; an evening featuring the best of Alberta indie short film. Tickets include tasty treats from Drift Food Truck and Attila the Hungry Food Truck that will be cooked up on site.

Admission also includes  free pre-movie popcorn and live music. A cash bar featuring Village Brewery and Big Rig Craft Distillery  is also available before the screening and during the intermission.
